We’ve reached the end of another season. Certainly not the season any of us expected 5 months ago. I’m pretty sure you would have been laughed out of the building if you suggested the Tigers would be 7-5 after losing to Duke, Georgia Tech, Syracuse, SMU, and LSU. But we all underestimated just how much work the defense needed. And without some fundamental concepts working it is hard to see the true potential in this offense under Garrett Riley.

But this afternoon Clemson gets a marquee opponent with a disappointing season in Penn State. The Nittany Lions fired James Franklin after some rather embarrassing losses. The really made our season seem positive in comparison. Though the interim coaching staff has done a great job of rallying the team and will look for a good sendoff.

This one is hard to handicap. Both sides have seen a number of opt outs, plus Clemson is dealing with a large number of injuries. Guys taking the opportunity to have surgery and be ready for 2026. In theory Penn State is favored, but no score is going to surprise me in this one. Hopefully the Tigers can give Cade Klubnik and the other seniors playing a nice sendoff. While they may not have performed the way we all wanted, there were some noticeable improvements over their predecessors.
