FIRST TEAM
Jack Cannon
Holmdel senior quarterback
Cannon had one of the legendary seasons in the history of the Shore Conference. He accounted for 63 touchdowns and 4,420 yards of total offense as he led the Hornets to the Central Group 3 sectional title, the first in the 54 seasons of the Holmdel program. Cannon completed 160 of 224 passes for 2,747 yards and 30 touchdowns. He ran for 1,673 yards and 33 scores. He will play collegiately at Dartmouth.
Jalen Parker
Winslow junior quarterback
For the second straight season, Parker fired 43 touchdown passes as the Eagles successfully defended their Group 4 state title. Now the state record-holder with 107 career TD passes, he’s thrown for at least one touchdown in 34 of 35 career games. Parker finished the season with 3,296 passing yards, raising his career total to 7,723 – both school records.
Derek Zammit
DePaul senior quarterback
Zammit was a four-year starter and repeat selection who led the Spartans (8-4) to three Non-Public B state titles. He threw for 2,008 yards and 12 TDs, and ran for 850 yards and nine scores, including three TDs in a 21-12 win over Paramus Catholic in this year’s title game. He has thrown for 7,670 career yards and 74 TDs. The 6-foot-1, 195-pounder is headed to Washington.
Andrew Avent
Rahway senior running back
The four-year starter will graduate with his name in the Rahway record books. He set career program marks for most touchdowns (55), most rushing yards (4,524) and most points (336). He also established Rahway’s single-season rushing record with 1,961 yards this fall, along with 23 TDs. At defensive end, Avent recorded 57 tackles, including 22 for a loss, with 10.5 sacks and 18 quarterback pressures.
Brayden Longo
Mount Olive junior running back
Longo’s 1,363 rushing yards accounted for more than 60 percent of Mount Olive’s rushing yardage in 2025. His 28 total touchdowns were more than any other player in the Super Football Conference. He scored via rushing, receiving, interception return, punt return and kickoff return.
Nyqir Heton
Winslow senior wide receiver
The 6-foot, 175-pound wideout they call “Boomer” lowered the boom on opposing defenses with his big-play ability. The North Carolina commit set a program record with 17 touchdown receptions, catching at least two TD passes in six games. He finished with 60 catches for 1,210 yards. For his career, Helton posted 142 catches for 2,694 yards and 37 touchdowns.
Quayd Hendryx
Winslow senior wide receiver
After sitting out three games following his transfer from Burlington Township, the 5-foot-11, 175-pound wide receiver finished with 43 catches for 878 yards and 12 touchdowns. The Minnesota-bound Hendryx saved his best for last, catching two TD passes and ripping off a momentum-swaying 87-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the state final.
RJ Wortman
Colonia senior wide receiver
Wortman had his promising junior season cut short after breaking his collarbone in the fourth game. The 6-foot, 205-pounder came back with a flourish by catching 101 passes for 1,307 yards and 15 touchdowns. The Rutgers commit also made 17 tackles and added TDs on an interception return and a punt return
Nate Bailey
St. Joseph (Montvale) senior athlete
Bailey was arguably North Jersey’s most dangerous combination running back/receiver and pivotal to the Green Knights (10-2) winning the Non-Public A state title. Despite being slowed by injury, plus two forfeit wins, he rushed 56 times for 295 yards and 10 TDs, and caught 31 passes for 531 yards and three scores. The 5-8, 175-pounder is bound for Harvard.
Jason Lajara
Brick Memorial senior athlete
Lajara had one of the great seasons in Brick Memorial’s 46-season history as he helped the Mustangs win the Central Group 4 championship for their first sectional title since 2008 and third overall. After missing the first two games of the season with an illness, Lajara accounted for 3,051 yards of total offense and 41 TDs. He completed 141 of 190 pass attempts for 2,331 yards and 27 TDs, and rushed for 720 yards and 14 TDs.
Brody Nugent
Old Bridge senior athlete
The dual-threat quarterback led Old Bridge to the Central Group 5 section final, just the program’s third sectional championship appearance since the school opened in 1994. Nugent often wriggled out of trouble and threw for 2,276 yards (19 TDs/7 INTs) and rushed for 1,262 yards and 20 TDs, while snagging two interceptions on defense.
Cristian Alvarez
St. Joseph (Montvale) senior lineman
Alvarez was a key mover and shaker in the Green Knights’ drive to the Non-Public A state title and No. 1 ranking in the New Jersey Super 25. The 6-foot-4, 285-pounder, who last season earned second team honors, is a dominating run blocker who helped grind out 330 yards total yards per game. Alvarez, also a top wrestler, will continue at Delaware.
Marlen Bright
DePaul senior lineman
Bright was a three-year starter and a stellar pass blocker whose coach said he has not allowed a sack the past two seasons. The Spartans amassed more than 4,200 yards of total offense en route to repeating as Non-Public B state champions. They ran the ball more than last year and ran a lot of outside zone behind the 6-7, 290-pounder. He is bound for Virginia Tech.
Phil Hatfield
Winslow senior lineman
The 6-1, 280-pound center was a cornerstone of the Winslow offensive line as a three-year starter. He helped protect star quarterback Jalen Parker and helped open up holes for the running game, which produced more than 1,600 yards. Hatfield was a key piece to an Eagles team that went 36-5 over the last three seasons.
Rhett Morris
Don Bosco senior lineman
Morris was a three-year starter and an integral part of the Ironmen (11-1) twice beating Bergen Catholic and reaching the Non-Public A state final. The 6-3, 305-pounder especially excels in the inside run game, and an offense that featured several young, promising skill players often ran behind him and totaled more than 3,100 yards. He is headed to West Virginia.
Kai Pritchard
Donovan Catholic senior lineman
One of the state’s dominant offensive linemen the past two seasons, Pritchard signed with Illinois on Dec. 3. He led an offensive line that enabled Donovan Catholic to average 179.5 rushing yards per game and 6.6 yards per carry. He also added 82 tackles, 12 of which were for a loss, and 5.5 sacks as a defensive lineman.
Simeon Picinich
Red Bank Catholic freshman kicker
Picinich has one of the state’s biggest legs. He went 10 for 15 on field goal attempts with a long of 45 yards. One of the misses was from 58 yards and another was from 48 yards. He was 48 for 50 on extra-point attempts and had 45 touchbacks.
