2026 4-star signee reaffirms his commitment with Texas A&M

Texas A&M’s 2025 season came to an end on Saturday afternoon after falling to Miami 10-3 in the first round of the College Football Playoff, allowing Hurricanes junior running back Mark Fletcher to run for 172 yards, including 10 yards per carry, which ultimately led to the Aggies demise late in the fourth quarter.

Paired with Texas A&M starting quarterback Marcel Reed’s three turnovers, head coach Mike Elko will have his work cut out for him heading into the 2026 season, hoping that his 2025 and possibly some of the program’s 2026 signees will pan out this offseason and become high-level contributors this time next year.

However, amid all the coaching changes, led by Elijah Robinson returning as Co-Defensive Coordinator and Defensive Line Coach, lead recruiter and Defensive Backs Coach Jordan Peterson will reportedly follow Collin Klein to Kansas State as the Wildcats’ Defensive Coordinator, leaving two of the top 2026 cornerback signees in flux regarding his departure.

First, Texas A&M’s top-ranked 2026 signee, five-star cornerback/athlete Brandon Arrington, reaffirmed his commitment via X, which was followed by fellow cornerback signee and four-star Ohio-based prospect Victor Singleton, stating that he is “still locked in,” while tagging Mike Elko on X, similar to Arrington’s loyalty to the program amid signing their letters of intent.

Arrington and Singelton are both considered future stars in the secondary and will make their way to College Station in early January.
