2027 5-star CB and Texas A&M commit shuts down recruitment

Texas A&M’s ten commitments in the 2027 recruiting class are all considered blue-chip prospects, including four-star cornerback Raylaun Henry, who will likely earn a fifth star by the end of his senior season. He has repeatedly stated that he remains “150% committed” to the Aggies over the last few months, and while nothing is set in stone until a player signs his letter of intent, Henry made things much clearer on Wednesday.
After committing to the Aggies back in mid-November, Henry was utterly dominant during his junior season at the prestigious St. Frances Academy, leading his team to a National Championship victory over current freshman quarterback Helaman Casuga’s Corner Canyon team, and, similar to 2026 five-star cornerback Brandon Arrington, Henry is skilled enough to see the field as soon as he steps on campus.
At 6’1″ and over 180 pounds, Henry’s impressive wingspan and elite speed, while his football knowledge and lack of panic when the ball is thrown his way stick out more than anything, which will immediately lead to NFL scouts taking notice during his sophomore and junior seasons.
Set to take his official visit to College Station on June 12, Henry, speaking with GigEm247 recruiting insider Joseph Hastings, has reportedly shut down his recruitment and intends to sign with Texas A&M in early December. Considered the top recruit in A&M’s 2027 cycle, this is great news for coach Mike Elko and his staff, who can now veer their focus to landing five-star cornerback John Meredith’s commitment.
According to 247Sports, Henry is currently positioned as the 18th-ranked prospect in the 2027 class, the 3rd-ranked cornerback, and the No. 1-ranked prospect in Maryland.
