2027 Connecticut defensive end names Tennessee football in top schools

Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class.

Four-star defensive end Marvin Nguetsop named Tennessee in his top five schools, along with Ohio State, Kentucky, Michigan and Ole Miss, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3.

The 6-foot-7, 268-pound prospect is from Germany and plays for St. Thomas More School in Oakdale, Connecticut. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 25 defensive lineman in the class and No. 2 player in Connecticut.

Tennessee offered Nguetsop a scholarship on Feb. 17. He visited Tennessee for the first time on March 20.

Texas A&M was the first school to offer Nguetsop a scholarship on Nov. 17, 2024. Other schools to offer him scholarships include Florida, Nebraska, Georgia, Kansas State, Miami, Florida Atlantic, South Carolina, Liberty, Colorado State, Boston College, Texas, Virginia Tech, California, UCLA, Michigan State, Syracuse, Wake Forest, Rutgers, Florida State, Stanford and Connecticut.

Tennessee has four commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo, defensive lineman Kadin Fife and quarterback Derrick Baker.
