2027 Georgia running back names Tennessee football in top 12 schools

Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class.

Four-star running back Caden Waye named Tennessee in his top 12 schools, along with Georgia Tech, Texas, Ohio State, South Carolina, Florida State, Ole Miss, Indiana, Oregon, Notre Dame, Florida and Michigan.

“My current top 12,” Waye announced. “Where’s home?!”

The 5-foot-11, 185-pound prospect is from Ola High School in McDonough, Georgia. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 9 running back in the class and No. 20 player in Georgia.

Tennessee offered Waye a scholarship on May 6.

USC was the first school to offer him a scholarship on June 20, 2024. Other schools to offer the 2027 prospect scholarships include Georgia State, Toledo, Georgia Southern, Arkansas, Arkansas State, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Kansas, Syracuse, Duke, Western Kentucky, UAB, Louisville, Memphis, Mississippi State, Auburn, Purdue, Missouri, Stanford, Cincinnati, Kentucky and Penn State.

Tennessee has four commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, cornerback Kamauri Whitfield, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo and defensive lineman Kadin Fife.
