Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class.
Four-star linebacker and Tennessee football legacy Kenneth Simon II named the Vols in his top eight schools, along with Alabama, Florida, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, Notre Dame and North Carolina.
“Where is home,” Simon II announced.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound linebacker is an in-state target from Brentwood Academy in Brentwood, Tennessee. He is the son of former Tennessee linebacker and Vols’ player development Kevin Simon.
247Sports ranks Simon II as the No. 11 linebacker in the class and No. 8 player in Tennessee.
Tennessee offered him a scholarship on May 12. Simon II has visited Tennessee seven times, most recently for the Vols’ football game versus Oklahoma on Nov. 1.
Purdue was the first school to offer Simon a scholarship on Nov. 11, 2024. Other schools to offer him scholarships include Kentucky, Louisville, Nebraska, Auburn, Virginia Tech, SMU, Liberty, Tulane, Memphis, Southern Miss, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Arkansas and Missouri.
Tennessee has four commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, cornerback Kamauri Whitfield, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo and defensive lineman Kadin Fife.
