2027 Maryland defensive lineman names Tennessee in top six schools

Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class.
Four-star defensive lineman Cahron Wheeler named Tennessee in his top six schools, along with Virginia Tech, Maryland, Auburn, Florida and Clemson.
“Where’s home,” Wheeler announced.
The 6-foot-5, 266-pound prospect is from St. Paul’s School in Brooklandville, Maryland. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 13 defensive lineman in the class and No. 4 player in Maryland.
Tennessee was the first school to offer Wheeler a scholarship on Nov. 21, 2025. He visited Tennessee for the Orange & White game on April 11.
Other schools to offer Wheeler scholarships include Texas A&M, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, UConn, Delaware, Rutgers, Missouri, North Carolina State, Michigan, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Boston College, SMU and Ohio State.
Tennessee has six commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo, defensive lineman Kadin Fife, quarterback Derrick Baker, athlete Jaden Butler and wide receiver KeSean Bowman.
