Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class.

Four-star defensive end Jackson Vaughn named Tennessee in his top nine schools, along with Notre Dame, Miami, South Carolina, Auburn, Alabama, California, Texas A&M and Texas, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3.

The 6-foot-4, 225-pound prospect is from Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, New Jersey. Former Vols’ quarterback Jarrett Guarantano is also from Bergen Catholic.

Vaughn reclassified from the 2028 class to 2027. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 15 defensive end in 2027 and No. 4 player in New Jersey.

Tennessee offered Vaughn a scholarship on Jan. 16, 2025 and he has not visited the Vols.

USC was the first school to offer Vaughn a scholarship on Sept. 26, 2024.

Other Power Four schools to offer him scholarships include Pittsburgh, Georgia Tech, Penn State, West Virginia, Syracuse, Boston College, Rutgers, Louisville, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Minnesota, Duke, Illinois, Vanderbilt, Michigan, UCF, Washington, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio State, LSU, Oregon, Florida, North Carolina, SMU, Florida State, North Carolina State, Georgia, Colorado, Virginia Tech and Missouri.
