2027 New Jersey linebacker names Tennessee football in top schools

Tennessee football is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class.

Four-star linebacker Mikahi Allen named Tennessee in his top eight schools, along with Rutgers, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Florida State, Texas, Illinois and Syracuse, according to Richie O’Leary of On3.

The 6-foot-1, 220-pound prospect is from Don Bosco Preparatory High School in Ramsey, New Jersey. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 17 linebacker in the class and No. 4 player in New Jersey.

Tennessee offered Allen a scholarship on Jan. 22, 2025. He visited the Vols for the Orange & White game on April 11.

James Madison was the first school to offer Allen a scholarship on Jan. 29, 2024. Other schools to offer him scholarships include West Virginia, Washington, Minnesota, UCF, Michigan, North Carolina, Wisconsin, North Carolina State, UConn, SMU, Auburn, Indiana, Oregon, Notre Dame, Miami and Kentucky.

Tennessee has six commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo, defensive lineman Kadin Fife, quarterback Derrick Baker, athlete Jaden Butler and wide receiver KeSean Bowman.
