As the Longhorns continue to add to their 2027 class, Steve Sarkisian and his staff had a reason to celebrate on Monday. Three-star recruit Lincoln Mageo set the date for his unofficial visit to the Forty Acres. The talented offensive lineman, who is one of the best prospects from the Golden State, will be in Austin on March 28.
While the latest update from Mageo is encouraging, the Longhorns are not the only team in the mix. The Oceanside star has received offers from Arizona, Arizona State, California, Colorado, Kansas State, Michigan State, Ohio State, and Stanford. With his recruitment still open, that list could continue to grow.

Currently, Mageo is ranked as the 29th-best interior offensive lineman in his class by 247Sports. They also rank him as the 37th best player from California. Due to his play, Mageo has made national headlines, earning a spot in the Polynesian Bowl.
If the Oceanside native were to commit to the Longhorns, he would be part of a promising 2027 class. The Longhorns have secured commitments from our-star wide receiver Easton Royal, three-star edge Cameron Hall, three-star tight end JT Geraci, quarterback Ty Knutson, and three-star linebacker Cade Haug. They are also set to welcome some of the most talented wide receivers on the board to camp this summer, in Alvin Mosley and Tre Moore.

Although Mageo would provide the Longhorns with a boost, he is not the only prospect to keep an eye on. Texas has also made offers to some of the top skill players still available. That includes running back Caden Waye and wide receivers Nick Lennear, Kesean Bowman, and Quentin Hale. Pairing any of those players with Royal would give Texas a dangerous offense.
With Mageo’s visit still months away, Sarkisian has plenty of time to prepare his best pitch. His goal will be to make Mageo an offer he can’t refuse and show him why Austin is the place to be.
