Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class.

Four-star safety Gavin Williams named Tennessee in his top 10 schools, along with Texas A&M, Texas, Alabama, Oregon, Notre Dame, USC, Washington, Ohio State and Michigan.

“Where’s home,” Williams announced.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound prospect is from Damien High School in La Verne, California. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 8 safety in the class and No. 12 player in California.

Tennessee offered Williams a scholarship on Oct. 1, 2024 and has not visited the Vols.

UNLV was the first school to offer Williams a scholarship on Feb. 4, 2024. Other Power Four schools to offer him scholarships include Syracuse, Arizona, UCLA, California, North Carolina, Utah, Auburn, Michigan State, Maryland, Florida State, Mississippi State, SMU, Georgia, BYU, Missouri, West Virginia, Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Miami.

Tennessee has four commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, cornerback Kamauri Whitfield, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo and defensive lineman Kadin Fife.
