2027 Virginia offensive lineman names Tennessee in top schools

Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class.

Four-star interior offensive lineman Carter Jones named Tennessee in his top four schools, along with Georgia, Clemson and Penn State, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3.

The 6-foot-5, 291-pound prospect is from Poquoson High School in Poquoson, Virginia. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 16 interior offensive lineman in the class and No. 5 player in Virginia.

Tennessee offered Jones a scholarship during a camp on June 8, 2025. He has visited Tennessee three times and will officially visit the Vols on May 21.

Old Dominion was the first school to offer Jones a scholarship on June 2, 2024. Other Power Four schools to offer him scholarships include Syracuse, Wake Forest, Duke, North Carolina State, West Virginia, North Carolina, Auburn, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Rutgers, Maryland, Virginia, Indiana, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Florida State, Alabama, Florida, Oklahoma, LSU, Stanford, Texas, Virginia Tech, Nebraska, Boston College, UCF, Missouri, UCLA, Pittsburgh, Michigan and Texas A&M.

Tennessee has six commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo, defensive lineman Kadin Fife, quarterback Derrick Baker, athlete Jaden Butler and wide receiver KeSean Bowman.
