2027 Virginia offensive tackle names Tennessee football in top eight

Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class.
Four-star offensive tackle Junior Saunders named Tennessee in his top eight schools, along with Rutgers, Virginia, South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Nebraska, Ohio State and Wisconsin.
“My recruitment is still open, but these are the schools that I will be focusing on going forward,” Saunders announced.
The 6-foot-6, 270-pound prospect is from Woodberry Forest School in Woodberry Forest, Virginia. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 27 offensive tackle in the class and No. 4 player in Virginia.
Tennessee offered Saunders a scholarship while attending its lineman camp on June 6, 2024.
North Carolina State was the first school to offer him a scholarship on July 12, 2023. Other schools to offer Saunders scholarships include Penn State, Pittsburgh, East Carolina, Maryland, Charlotte, Appalachian State, North Carolina, Florida State, Liberty, Syracuse, Southern Miss and West Virginia.
Tennessee has four commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, cornerback Kamauri Whitfield, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo and defensive lineman Kadin Fife.
