As Longhorns football stayed busy on the recruiting trail, they had a reason to celebrate this week. Talented 2028 recruit Tyrie Davis-Winn committed to a visit with Texas next month. While he is not ranked at the moment, Winn has seen his stock rise of late and would be a welcome addition to the offensive line.
Although Winn's willingness to visit is a good sign, Texas is not the only program in the mix. The Pennsylvania native has also received offers from Georgia, Penn State, Temple, Warner University, and Syracuse. He already has visits set up with Syracuse and Ohio State. That list could keep growing as Winn weighs all his options.
Can’t wait to get down to the University of Texas next month. Thank you @CoachZoloty 🤘🏽 @TexasFootball@InsideTexas@ontexasfootball@CJVogel_OTF@Horns247@bevobeat#HookEmpic.twitter.com/r2YgbpPNrQ

While Winn's stock has risen, some of the nation's top programs have taken notice. That is partly why Texas is excited to have him on campus for a visit. When he's on the forty acres, head coach Steve Sarkisian will have a golden opportunity to show Winn what his future as a Longhorn may hold.
Currently, the Longhorns do not have any commitments from players in the 2028 class. However, they have been busy talking to some of the top players available. Texas has made offers to four-star recruits Neimann Lawrence, Micah Rhodes, Brysen Wright, Braxton Rein, R'Monie Edwards, and Jalanie George. Adding any of those players would give Texas a bright future.
Wasn’t feeling my best lastnight but pushed through agility training anyways.🦾

With programs such as Georgia and Ohio State in the mix, Texas will have to make Winn an offer he can't refuse when he is on campus. Luckily that is an area that Sarkisian has specialized in. During his tenure the Longhorns have also done a very good job of developing offensive lineman
Even though Winn's visit is still weeks away, the Longhorns are already looking forward to what a future with the Monsignor Bonner High star on the offensive line could hold.
