Owen Harrington (b. Sept. 20, 2006) is a JUCO tight end from California who is majoring in biology.

He will fill a role as an inline tight end and an H-back in Kansas State’s offensive scheme, On3 reported:

Tight end is not a huge position of need, but K-State needs depth at the position. Linkon Cure, Garrett Oakley and Will Anciaux were the only three tight ends to go through spring practices as Arley Morrell and Lawson McGraw were finishing up their senior years of high school.

Last season, Harrington played under head coach Matt Raivio at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills, California, where he was viewed as the seventh-best community college tight end for the Class of 2026 by 247Sports.

He tallied 14 receptions for 107 yards and a touchdown for the Owls over his 10 games, logging a season-high four receptions for 21 yards at Sequoias, which included an 8-yard touchdown in a 29-28 overtime win.

Harrington posted a season-high 29 yards on two catches against San José, which included a season-long-tying 20-yard reception, a mark he also matched against Sacramento City.

This season, he will vie with Garrett Oakley and Linkon Cure for those competitive touchdown catches.

“(Linkon Cure) and Will Anciaux haven’t missed a snap all spring, and that’s a credit to their toughness and how they prepared themselves,” head coach Collin Klein said earlier this year during a spring press conference.

Harrington prepped under head coach Danny Sullivan at Archbishop Mitty High School in San José, California, where he hauled in 26 passes for 297 yards and six touchdowns over his final two prep seasons.

All six touchdowns and 253 yards came during his senior campaign for the Monarchs, and he was named the conference’s tight end of the year and earned first-team all-conference honors as a senior.

A late addition following spring camp, Harrington committed to and signed with K-State over offers from Central Michigan, Chicago State, Eastern Illinois, Eastern Kentucky, Incarnate Word, Jackson State, Kennesaw State, Long Island, Nevada, New Haven, Presbyterian College, Utah Tech and Western Illinois.

*Keep in mind that starting this season, redshirted players can play in up to nine total games and retain their year of eligibility. If the 5-for-5 rule survives its court challenges, that number goes from nine to “all of them.”
