Georgia football coach Kirby Smart and staff are familiar with the juggling act they are doing this week.
They are preparing the No. 3 Bulldogs for an SEC Championship game matchup with Alabama while putting the finishing touches on a signing class that will ink this week in the early period.
That’s when most of the heavy lifting will be done for this class.
Georgia begins the week with 31 known commitments.
Now the trick is holding onto those that could flip and adding some targets still out there.
Georgia football recruiting targets
QB Jared Curtis, Nashville Christian, 5-star. Curtis has already committed, de-committed and then committed again to Georgia. There’s been a lot of heat about him flipping to home town Vanderbilt. Curtis isn’t expected to make his decision final once and for all until Friday after his team plays for a Tennessee state championship.
IOL Tyreek Jemison, Paulding County, 4-star. The former Kentucky commitment is projected to land with Georgia, according to six crystal ball projections by 247Sports. Ole Miss also was involved before Lane Kiffin left for LSU, per Dawgnation.
S Blake Stewart, Woodward Academy, 3-star. The Bulldogs “hold momentum,” in recruiting Stewart, according to Rivals’ recruiting analyst Chad Simmons. The Bulldogs will have to beat out Miami. Stewart backed off a commitment to Clemson. Benjamin Wolk of 247Sports gave a crystal ball pick for Georgia.
Georgia football recruiting rankings
Georgia football is ranked No. 2 by the 247Sports Composite rankings entering this week. It is also ranked No. 2 by Rivals.com, 247Sports, ESPN and the Rivals Industry rankings.
