Four-star interior offensive lineman Dewey Young has committed to the Colorado Buffaloes and coach Deion Sanders, per Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett. Young chose Colorado over the Georgia Bulldogs, Vanderbilt Commodores and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

Standing at 6-foot-5, 315 pounds, Young is a massive offensive tackle who was a major target for the Bulldogs prior to his announcement. The lineman has flashed his potential on numerous occasions at Kalamazoo High School in Michigan, and Young will look to emerge as a star at Colorado. Young took an official visit to Colorado (May 15), Georgia Tech (June 10), Vanderbilt (June 14) and Georgia (June 19), but the big man has decided that the Buffaloes are the best fit.

Young is a prime candidate to start on Colorado’s offensive line to begin his collegiate career next year. The talented big man is ranked as the No. 24 OT and the No. 272 player from the class of 2027, per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Young is listed as the No. 6 recruit in Michigan. Following his commitment, Young will focus on his senior season at Kalamazoo High.

Georgia has missed out on a handful of talented lineman from the 2027 class in addition to Young committing elsewhere. Four-star OL Nate Carson recently committed to the South Carolina Gamecocks over UGA, while five-star defensive lineman Marcus Fakatou has landed with the Ohio State Buckeyes over Georgia.
