4-star SF Carson Crawford sets commitment date

Four-star small forward Carson Crawford is ready to announce his college decision. The 6-foot-6 rising senior out of Fleming Island (FL) will make his commitment on Wednesday, September 2nd at 7:00 PM EST.
Crawford narrowed his list of options to five — Arizona State, Florida State, Ole Miss, Providence, and Syracuse — in July.
He is ranked as the No. 47 overall recruit in the 2027 class and the No. 12 ranked small forward, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, an average of all three major recruiting media companies (Rivals, ESPN, 247Sports).
Arizona State is the Rivals Prediction Machine favorite, giving the Sun Devils an 80.8% chance of landing him. Crawford took an official visit to ASU this past weekend and he has unofficially visited Florida State.

In a previous interview with Rivals, Carson Crawford discussed his finalists.
Arizona State: “They have a good relationship with my AAU coach. They are very great and persistent on recruiting, great school, also have a plan.”
Florida State: “One of the first schools to offer me, great relationships, very persistent on recruiting which I love.”
Ole Miss: “It’s a great SEC school, very persistent on recruiting.”
Providence: “The staff offered me at USF. They’ve been around since the beginning of my recruiting and play a offense I’d fit in well with.”
Syracuse: “I’ve been talking to the assistant coach for a while. We have a good relationship and they have a plan for me.”

This summer, Crawford won a Nike EYBL Peach Jam championship with the Florida Rebels, where he averaged 7.9 points and 8.1 rebounds per game while shooting better than 55% from the field during the title run.
Before trimming his list, Crawford also received offers from Texas A&M, South Florida, Georgia, Florida Atlantic, FAMU, Virginia Tech, and others.
