Tight ends coach Chris Thomsen’s success on the trail continues.
Florida State inked 4-star tight end Xavier Tiller on Wednesday, the 198th-rated player and ninth-ranked tight end according to 247Sports Composite. Tiller is one of two tight end signees in the FSU class, alongside legacy Corbyn Fordham.
Once Tiller committed to FSU in June after his official visit, he never wavered from his pledge and made his way to Tallahassee for three unofficial visits during the 2025 season. Mike Norvell and Thomsen fended off Alabama and Auburn from Tiller, who held more than 30 offers.
Tiller is another athletic, massive tight end from the state of Georgia, as he is listed as 6’5” and 226 pounds. Tiller also played basketball in high school, one of many multi-sport athletes in the Tribe26 class.
