The Georgia Bulldogs are expected to be one of four hats on the table for four-star wide receiver recruit Amare Patterson, who is a member of the class of 2027. Patterson is set to announce his commitment on 247Sports at 6 p.m. ET on Saturday, June 20.
Patterson's top four schools are the North Carolina Tar Heels, South Carolina Gamecocks, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and Georgia. The four-star plays high school football for Bluffton High School in Ridgeland, South Carolina.
The 6-foot-1, 175-pound receiver is ranked as the No. 173 recruit in the country, per 247Sports. Patterson is the fifth-best recruit in South Carolina and the No. 25 wide receiver nationally. The Bluffton star is the top ranked wide receiver in South Carolina.
Patterson has gone on recent visits to each of his top schools. North Carolina entered his recruitment the latest with the Tar Heels offering him on May 26, per his social media account. Patterson also considered LSU and Florida, but those programs appear to be out of the picture.
Patterson is a track athlete with a 10.5-second time in the 100-meters. The pass catcher has elite speed and is shifty in the open field. Patterson turned some screen passes into touchdowns during his junior season at Bluffton, where he produced 48 receptions for 877 yards and 10 touchdowns. Patterson is a big play threat and has the potential to take his game to another level in college.
