The early signing period is rarely without drama, and the Oregon Ducks found themselves at the center of this this year.

That drama has finally come to an end, though, with 5-star wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. announcing his college commitment at the end of a three-day saga. Henry announced on the Pat McAfee Show on Friday morning that he will be sticking with his commitment to the Ohio State Buckeyes, choosing them over the Ducks.

This is a change of tune from what we believed to be the case over the past two days. Henry was considered a lean towards Oregon ever since a coaching change on the morning of National Signing Day "shocked" him ahead of his ceremony, and caused him to reevaluate things. For the past 48 hours, the belief was that Henry would end up flipping to the Ducks, but he ultimately stuck with the Buckeyes.

Nonetheless, Duck fans have a lot to celebrate in the 2026 class, as they signed a program-record (and nation's best) five 5-star players, inking the best signing class in program history, ranked No. 2 in the nation. They would have jumped up to No. 1 in the nation had Henry chosen Oregon over Ohio State.
