5-Star QB Elijah Haven Predicted to Commit to Alabama Crimson Tide

Quarterback Elijah Haven has captured the attention of some of the top programs in college football. At 6-foot-4.5 and 220 pounds, Rivals Industry Rankings place him as a five-star recruit, the No. 1 quarterback and the No. 11 player in the 2027 cycle.

He had an impressive junior season at Dunham High School, completing 240-of-332 passes for 3,931 yards, 62 touchdowns and seven interceptions. The Baton Rouge, Louisiana native also rushed for 794 yards and 11 touchdowns.

The battle for his commitment continues to heat up. Haven holds offers and has taken visits with the Alabama Crimson Tide, Auburn Tigers, Michigan Wolverines, Florida Gators, LSU Tigers, Florida State Seminoles, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Penn State Nittany Lions.

He’s not far from making a decision. The quarterback told Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman he intends to announce a commitment before the end of April, saying, “I’m gonna have my commitment within the next four weeks and I’m super excited about that.”

While teams work toward making a strong impression, only one will come out on top. On Wednesday, Rivals’ Keith Niebuhr logged an expert prediction for Haven to land with the Crimson Tide.

It would be a major win for Kalen DeBoer and his staff. Alabama’s 2027 recruiting class currently ranks 19th in the nation and ninth in the SEC with four commitments. Haven would be the fourth offensive addition, joining four-star QB Trent Seaborn, four-star TE Colt Lumpris and three-star TE Oakley Keegan.

Despite already landing Seaborn, the Crimson Tide would still welcome Haven with open arms. He would also be the second five-star quarterback DeBoer has landed in the past three cycles, joining Keelon Russell (2025 recruiting class).

With Haven’s decision less than a month away, Niebuhr’s prediction indicates that Alabama is pulling away.
