Five-star running back recruit David Gabriel Georges has canceled his official visit with the Georgia Bulldogs, per Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett. Gabriel Georges was scheduled to visit Athens this weekend, but the running back has had a change of plans and will no longer partake in the trip.

Standing at 6-foot, 205 pounds, Gabriel Georges is talented running back who is widely considered as one of the top prospects from his class. The rising star has taken an official visit to Ohio State (May 29), Tennessee (June 5), and Ole Miss (June 12). The Dawgs are expected to remain in the mix for Gabriel Georges despite the recent announcement, and the running back would be a big addition for UGA should he ultimately commit to Georgia. However, Georgia already has a pair of running back commitments including one from five-star Kemon Spell.

Gabriel Georges has flashed superstar potential on numerous occasions during his time at Baylor High School in Tennessee. The highly coveted recruit is ranked as the No. 2 running back and the No. 10 player from the class of 2027, per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He is listed as the best recruit in Tennessee.

Georgia continues to target a elite talent from the 2027 class. The Dawgs recently earned a commitment from three-star defensive lineman Antwan McKoy, while also flipping four-star offensive tackle Kennedee Jackson from Florida.
