Florida football will welcome a loaded group of targets for 2027 and beyond in Gainesville this week. The cast of notables is headlined by one of the nation's top wide receiver prospects, five-star receiver Easton Royal, who leads the pack of visitors as Florida's momentum on the recruiting trail grows.

Hailing from Brother Martin High School in New Orleans, Louisiana, Royal is a dynamic playmaker. The athlete is widely regarded as one of the principal offensive targets in the 2027 cycle. The 5-foot-11-inch, 185-pound receiver is committed to Texas at the moment, but he remains a highly sought-after target for programs trying to flip the game-changing athlete.

Royal creates the most buzz but won't be the only blue-chip talent on campus. Florida is also expected to host several other notable recruits, including four-star offensive tackle Timi Alui (2027), four-star Asher Ghioto (2028) and four-star receiver Jordan Gorham (2028).

The wave of visits comes at an integral time for the Gators, who have already fielded a stellar freshman class of pass catchers in Davian Groce, Justin Williams and Marquez Daniel. For elite recruits like Royal, witnessing that type of budding talent choose Florida offers a glimpse into how promising the Florida offense could be this season and in the future.

Easton Royal recruiting summary

Royal is ranked No. 9 overall and No. 2 at his position nationally according to 247Sports composite; the On3 industry ranking places him at No. 9 and No. 2, respectively, as well. Royal has offers from 12 SEC programs, including Texas, Tennessee, Arkansas and Auburn.
