Northridge is set to hire Luke Amstutz as its new head football coach, as approved by the Middlebury Community Schools board Tuesday, January 13. Amstutz replaces Chad Eppley, who resigned from the position in November.
Amstutz is currently serving as athletic director at East Noble High School, where he led the football program as head coach for 12 seasons from 2012-2023. The Knights’ combined record under Amstutz was 98-37, including two IHSAA Class 4A sectional championships, a regional championship and a semi-state championship.
Amstutz began his head coaching career in the IHSAA at Angola, with a 26-15 record in four seasons leading the Hornets. He won no sectional championships at Angola.
The Raiders have not won a sectional championship since the 2022 season, but they made a Class 4A State Championship appearance in 2021.
