The Georgia Bulldogs will be getting back running back Nate Frazier for the 2026 season. Frazier has worked out a new contract with Georgia to remain with the Bulldogs, Pete Thamel reports from Frazier’s agent Sam Leaf.

Frazier has lived up to the hype he had as a recruit. He was the No. 2 running back and No. 71 recruit in the nation, and so far, he’s hit the ground running.

In his freshman season in 2024, he usurped Florida transfer Trevor Etienne as Georgia’s leading rusher, getting 671 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on 133 carries. He was so good that people believed that he could cross the 1,000 yard mark in his sophomore year.

He didn’t quite reach that mark, suffering fumbling issues in the beginning of his sophomore season in 2025. However, Frazier ended the year on a heater, with 553 yards and four touchdowns in six games, and overall, he had 947 yards and six touchdowns on 173 carries. He made the All-SEC third-team, and if it weren’t for his injury near the end of the Sugar Bowl against Ole Miss, Georgia more than likely uses Frazier to score the game-winning touchdown.

Georgia has lost several impact talents on the offensive side of the ball. Wide receivers Colbie Young, Noah Thomas, and Dillon Bell are out of eligibility, while Zachariah Branch declared for the 2026 NFL draft

The offensive line will lose senior Micah Morris (out of eligibility) along with underclassmen Monroe Freeling (declared for draft) and Bo Hughley (transferred to Colorado). Regardless, Gunner Stockton, Nate Frazier, and Chauncey Bowens staying give Georgia hope on the offensive side in 2026. Kentucky transfer running back Dante Dowell could add a spice to the running game as well.
