LAWRENCE — The Division I transfer portal window for college football is open from Jan. 2 through Jan. 16, and that means Thursday is another chance for Kansas football to construct its 2026 roster.
KU is trying to reach a bowl game for the first time since 2023, after back-to-back 5-7 seasons in 2024 and 2025. The Jayhawks had reached back-to-back bowl games in 2022 and 2023, with a bowl victory in the latter. Kansas coach Lance Leipold is preparing for his sixth season at the helm in 2026.
