The Miami-Indiana slugfest didn’t end when the clock hit zero.
In the moments after the Hoosiers claimed the CFP National Championship with a 27-21 win over the Hurricanes, Miami’s Mark Fletcher was throwing punches at Tyrique Tucker on the field at Hard Rock Stadium on Monday.
Fletcher, a 6-foot-2, 225-pound running back, appeared set to chase down the 302-pound defensive tackle before a staffer stepped in to cool him off.

There was no immediate word as to what set off the incident, but it was hardly the ending to the night Fletcher envisioned.
The 21-year-old ran for 112 yards on 17 carries, scoring a pair of touchdowns in the effort. He added one reception for eight yards.
With his 57-yard score in the third quarter, he passed Ezekiel Elliott for the most career rushing yards in College Football Playoff history. He finished with 507 yards in the four CFP games this season.
A South Florida native, Fletcher will be back with the Hurricanes next season — and it appears he’ll have a lingering bad taste in his mouth.
