Recruiting analyst says Alabama may be the top school for a highly rated Tennessee Vols legacy recruit

The son of a former Tennessee Vols linebacker is one of the top linebacker recruits in the nation.
2027 four-star linebacker Kenneth Simon, 6-foot-2/190 pounds from Brentwood, TN, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 11 linebacker in the nation and the No. 8 player in the state of Tennessee.
The talented recruit is the son of former Vols linebacker Kevin Simon.

Rivals.com recruiting expert Steve Wiltfong noted on Monday that Alabama is one of the top schools for Simon, and they may not be No. 2.
“The Crimson Tide are in the top two, perhaps even running No. 1 for four-star linebacker Kenneth Simon,” wrote Wiltfong.
Ole Miss and Texas A&M are also in the mix for Simon.
Tennessee is still one of Simon’s top schools, so it’s not like Alabama is running away with this recruiting battle. But it’s clear the Vols are facing some stiff competition for the four-star linebacker.
Simon is hoping to announce his commitment sometime over the next couple of months, though nothing is set in stone.
Missing on Simon would be painful for Vols fans, but it would be especially painful if he signs with Alabama over Tennessee.
