Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class.

Vols’ head coach Josh Heupel, offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Joey Halzle and offensive line coach Glen Elarbee visited five-star interior offensive lineman Maxwell Hiller on Tuesday.

“GBO,” Hiller said.

The 6-foot-5, 300-pound prospect is from Coatesville Area High School in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. 247Sports ranks Hiller as the No. 1 offensive lineman in the class and No. 1 player in Pennsylvania.

Tennessee offered Hiller a scholarship on Jan. 10, 2025. He visited Tennessee for Big Orange BBQ on May 31, 2025.

Penn State was the first school to offer Hiller a scholarship on May 11, 2023. Other Power Four schools to offer him scholarships include Pittsburgh, Maryland, West Virginia, Syracuse, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Michigan, Virginia Tech, Texas A&M, Alabama, Missouri, Florida State, Indiana, Rutgers, Miami, Nebraska, Cincinnati, USC, Duke, South Carolina, Notre Dame, Oregon, Georgia, Wisconsin, Purdue, Clemson, Florida and Kentucky.

Tennessee has four commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, cornerback Kamauri Whitfield, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo and defensive lineman Kadin Fife.
