According to a report from The Tuscaloosa News' Colin Gay and Chase Goodbread, Alabama Crimson Tide defensive lineman Jah-Marien Latham will be returning for the 2026 season.

Should this in fact happen, it would be the seventh season of college football for Latham, each of which have come at Alabama.

An experienced defensive lineman, Latham saw action in only one game for Alabama during the 2025 season, which came against Florida State in the season opener where he had two tackles. Latham also missed both the UL Monroe and Wisconsin games recovering from an injury, and then suffered a season-ending injury prior to the Georgia game that resulted in the graduate student missing the remainder of the year.

A former member of Alabama's 2020 recruiting class, Latham has seen action across the past six seasons with the Crimson Tide, appearing in 45 combined games. Since 2020, Latham has posted a combined 44 tackles, four TFL, 2.5 sacks, one pass defense, and one forced fumble, a majority of which came during the 2024 campaign.
