In the age of teams remaking their rosters by dipping heavily into the transfer portal, Georgia football still relies more than many others on building its roster through the high school ranks.

Indiana won a national championship after landing traditional recruiting classes ranked No. 68, No. 66 and No. 49 nationally.

Georgia has a run of top eight national finishes in the polls that go back to 2017, but its recruiting rankings are even higher.

Kirby Smart and his staff signed nine straight classes that ranked in the top four of the 247Sports Composite, including top-ranked classes in 2024, 2020 and 2018.

That run ended with this 2026 class.

Here’s how Georgia football stacks up in the recruiting rankings this cycle.
