OXFORD — Ole Miss football is bunched up with the best teams in the nation in the college football polls.

Coach Lane Kiffin’s Rebels are ranked No. 7 in the US LBM Coaches Poll released Nov. 9. Ole Miss was No. 7 in the previous week’s poll.

The Rebels (9-1, 5-1 SEC) are coming off a one-sided victory against The Citadel (4-6, 3-3 SoCon). The Rebels won 49-0.

Quarterback Trinidad Chambliss was 29-for-33 passing for 333 yards and three touchdowns. Austin Simmons came on in relief after the game was in hand and was 7-for-12 for 100 yards.

It was the first shutout win for Ole Miss since a 76-0 win against Furman in Week 1 of 2024.

The Rebels will host Florida (3-6, 2-4) in Week 12 at 6 p.m. on ESPN Nov. 15. It’s an interesting game, considering Florida’s pursuit of Kiffin the its coaching search.
