SOUTH BEND — Notre Dame football received six invitations to this year’s NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
There were no surprises on the list.
As expected, running backs Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price lead the way from last year’s 10-2 Irish roster. Love is projected to be taken within the first 10 picks of the NFL Draft when it opens on April 23 in Pittsburgh.
Price is considered a second-round candidate at this point.
Also headed to Indy are wide receiver Malachi Fields, tight end Eli Raridon and offensive linemen Billy Schrauth and Aamil Wagner.
Fields, the former Virginia graduate transfer, built significant pre-draft momentum at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala. Raridon and Wagner earned praise for their practice showings at the East-West Shrine Bowl in Frisco, Texas.
Schrauth, a 2025 captain like Wagner, is coming off a season-ending knee sprain against USC last October.
Of that group, only Fields and Raridon were out of college eligibility.
Tight ends will do on-field workouts, including the 40-yard dash, on Friday Feb. 27.
Wide receivers and running backs will take the on-field spotlight on Saturday Feb. 28.
Sunday, March 1 will wrap up things up with the offensive linemen doing on-field workouts and 40-yard ambles.
A total of 13 former Irish players were drafted the past two springs, including 2024 first-rounder Joe Alt (fifth overall).
At least one Irish defensive player has been selected in all but two of the past 14 drafts: 2015 and 2018.
Alabama graduate transfer defensive back DeVonta Smith, who didn’t get a combine invitation, has an outside chance at a late-round selection after a solid showing at the East-West Shrine Bowl.
