Cutter Boley is backing Mark Stoops

Cutter Boley led the Kentucky Wildcats to a dominant home SEC football game over the Florida Gators with a final score of 38-7.

Boley, a redshirt freshman QB, was asked about playing for Head Coach Mark Stoops in his post-game interview, and he was quick to back the veteran HC.

Stoops, whose job security had been questioned earlier this season after the Wildcats dropped two straight SEC games, seems to be gaining momentum after two conference victories.

Boley was asked postgame about playing for the long-time Wildcats Coach, and he made sure to vouch for Stoops.

“He’s a player’s coach. All of the guys in the locker room want to fight for him. We have a really good thing going in the locker room. You can see our heartbeat that we had on the field.” The Kentucky native said.

Boley has been a big part of the Wildcats’ winning recipe at home. His last three starts at Kroger Field have elevated the Cats’ season. He has completed 75/97 passes for 756 yards and seven touchdowns during that span.

Stoops was asked about the redshirt freshman’s play as of late, and it’s safe to say he’s been impressed.

“I’ve believed in Cutter for a long time, a few years now,” said Stoops. “I’m really proud of him, the growth that he’s making and how he’s improving every week.”

Stoops and the Wildcats are back in action at Kroger Field next Saturday, November 15th. They take on Tennessee Tech, who is 10-0 on the season. The game is set for 1:30 PM ET on SECN+.
