ESPN ranks Georgia football's returning production

ESPN has ranked the returning production for all 138 FBS teams prior to the start of the 2026 campaign. The Georgia Bulldogs are listed at No. 8 in the nation, as the Dawgs are expected to have a plethora of returning talent next season. Georgia has the third-most returning production in the SEC behind South Carolina and Texas.

Georgia will retain 68% of its total production from the 2025 season next year. 63% of the Dawgs’ returning production will come from the offensive side of the football, while 72% will come from defense. Georgia’s returning production on offense ranks No. 32 in the nation according to ESPN, as the Dawgs’ defensive returning production ranks an impressive No. 5 in the country.

Georgia will have a number of key veteran players returning to the program in 2026 including starting quarterback Gunner Stockton. ESPN has named the Bulldogs as one of the most likely teams to improve in 2026 as well, as Georgia will have an excellent mix of veteran and young playmakers up and down the roster. The SEC as a whole is ranked as the second conference in the country in returning production with 58.2%, as the Dawgs will look to win the SEC for a third straight season during the 2026 campaign.

Georgia will kickoff the 2026 season on Sept. 5 against Tennessee State, as the Dawgs will lean on returning veterans as opposed to transfers. The Bulldogs lead the SEC in returning starters from last season and a full list of every starting player returning to Georgia in 2026 can be found below.
