Sidney Rouleau, four-star Texas OL, commits to Michigan football

Four hours after Michigan basketball clinched its spot in the Final Four, and less than half an hour after Michigan hockey punched its ticket to the Frozen Four, Michigan football made a bit of a splash, too.

Four-star class of 2027 offensive tackle Sidney Rouleau committed to the Wolverines, via social media Sunday, March 29, marking the first commitment secured by offensive line coach Jim Harding.

The 6-foot-7, 269-pound tackle from The Brook High School in Bullard, Texas, is ranked as the No. 36 offensive tackle in the nation, the No. 51 player in Texas and the No. 377 player in the rising senior class according to 247 Sports’ composite rankings.

Rouleau held more than a dozen Power Four offers, including Florida, Texas, Tennessee, Miami (Florida) and Nebraska. He was re-offered by Kyle Whittingham’s staff this month and took a visit to Ann Arbor over the weekend, which apparently sealed the deal.

Michigan now has six commitments in the class of 2027, three of whom committed to Whittingham & Co. in the past week. The Wolverines’ class ranks No. 16 in the nation.
