A five-star quarterback and Georgia Bulldogs recruiting target has planned his commitment date. Elijah Haven will announce his commitment on April 25th, according to Sam Spiegelman of Rivals. He will choose among the Georgia Bulldogs, the Auburn Tigers, or the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Haven is the No. 1-ranked quarterback and No. 2 prospect in the nation from the class of 2027. The 6-foot-5, 215-pound quarterback is from Dunham High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
He won the Gatorade and MaxPreps Player of the Year award in Louisiana, completing 240 of 332 passes for 3,931 yards (72.3%) and 62 touchdowns while also carrying the ball 127 times for 794 yards and 11 touchdowns. He set a state record in passing touchdowns and total touchdowns in a single season (73).
The overwhelming favorite seems to be Alabama. 247Sports has logged two Crystal Ball predictions for Haven to go to Alabama, and Rivals gives Alabama a 97.5% chance for him to land with the Crimson Tide.
Georgia, meanwhile, has the No. 8 recruiting class in the nation. They’ve earned a commitment from five-star running back Kemon Spell, who decommitted from Penn State. They’re still deciding on a future starter for when Gunner Stockton declares for the NFL draft or runs out of eligibility. Ryan Montgomery, Ryan Puglisi, Hezekiah Millender, and Bryson Beaver are in the quarterback room, but Haven would be a very talented replacement.
Coach Kirby Smart and Georgia have no quarterback commitments in the class of 2027. However, the Bulldogs do have a quarterback commitment in the 2028 cycle from five-star Jayden Wade. It is possible Wade reclassifies to the 2027 cycle.
