Safeties continue to flock towards Bob Chesney’s UCLA football program with four-star safety Khalil Terry committing to the Bruins on Tuesday, according to college football reporter Hayes Fawcett of Rivals.

The incoming freshman originally committed to Notre Dame to play for the Fighting Irish head coach Marcus Freeman, but decommitted on Monday, according to 247Sports. The Tustin, Calif. native currently plays for Tustin High School and 247Sports has him listed as the No. 206 player nationally, No. 16 player in California and the No. 19 safety in the 2027 recruiting class.

The 5-foot-11 safety will be a four year starter for the Tustin Tillers with 179 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, a sack, three forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and nine interceptions ahead of his senior year, according to 247Sports.

Terry’s commitment makes him the second safety to join UCLA’s 2027 recruiting class with Pole Moala committing on April 12. The young safety also became the sixth 2027 recruit to commit to the Bruins from California, according to 247Sports.
