The Florida State Seminoles are seemingly reshuffling their quarterback board with top target Wonderful Monds IV likely headed to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. While missing out on the in-state target would be quite a blow to their 2027 recruiting class, a familiar player is back on the market.
Three-star prospect Logan Flaherty decommitted from the UCF Knights on Tuesday, giving the Seminoles a second chance to land the Port Charlotte, Florida, product. He committed to the Knights on Oct. 14, but several schools have kept recruiting him, and he has now reopened his recruitment as the quarterback dominoes start to fall across the country.
He is ranked as the No. 710 overall player and No. 39 quarterback in the 247Sports composite. He is also the No. 67 player from Florida.
The Seminoles have been recruiting him for quite some time, issuing him a scholarship offer on Nov. 15, 2024, becoming just the third Division I school to do so. While they have never pushed super hard in his recruitment, he has visited Tallahassee five times during his recruitment.
Flaherty had a productive junior season at Port Charlotte, completeting 60.8% of his passes for 2,636 yards, 27 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. He also ran for 595 yards and 11 touchdowns on 140 carries.
