Michigan football is looking to follow up its stellar 2026 recruiting class strong with a 2027 class that bolsters and complements it, even with a new coaching staff doing the evaluations. The Wolverines managed to bring in the nation's top running back a year ago in five-star Savion Hiter, and the hope is that they can lure another top tailback to be able to eventually play alongside him.
One recruit who has been strongly on the maize and blue's radar is 2027 Jackson (Miss.) Brandon four-star running back Tyson Robinson, who visited Ann Arbor twice in the spring, is set for a June 12 official visit. Rated highest by ESPN, which has him as the No. 114 player in the country, Robinson is a consensus four-star.
Michigan will know where it stands relatively soon, as Robinson announced he has chosen when he'll make his commitment. He plans to make his pledge known on May 16, mere weeks away, and before the official visit slate commences.

Michigan has gotten two players from the state of Mississippi in history, in safety Jeremy LeSueur and linebacker Kaden Catchings. At the moment, there are no predictions indicating where Robinson will end up, however, he has seen Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss more than any other school. Even so, it's good news that Michigan had been able to get him to campus multiple times before his decision, and it puts the Wolverines in a decent spot.
