Fort Lauderdale receiver Anthony Jennings commits to Gators

GAINESVILLE — Big-play receiver Anthony Jennings of Fort Lauderdale committed to the Gators on Saturday as coach Jon Sumrall’s 2027 class continued to add offensive weapons.
Jennings recorded 19 touchdowns and 1,389 yards on 55 catches, averaging 25.2 yards, during 19 games the past two seasons at Dillard High School. He is the nation’s No. 34 prospect at his position and No. 273 overall, according to 247Sports composite rankings.
The 6-foot, 165-pound Jennings chose the Gators over Auburn, Florida State, Maryland and Syracuse and is the eighth member of a class now ranked No. 13 by 247Sports, up five spots.
Jennings joins group of offensive skill players including Tramond Collins, a four-star prospect from Cottondale in the Florida Panhandle who is considered the nation’s No. 6 athlete and No. 111 overall prospect by 247Sports.
Tight ends Jackson Ballinger of Centerburg, Ohio, and Tommy Douglas of Princeton, N.J., also commited to the Gators. 247Sports ranks the 6-foot-4, 225-pound Ballinger the No. 24 tight end in the class and the 6-foot-4½, 235-pound Douglas No. 26 at his position.
Quarterback Davin Davidson, a 4-star prospect from Sarasota, also committed two weeks ago. The 6-foot-6, 215-pound Davidson ranks as the nation’s No. 13 prospect at his position, according to 247Sports.

UF also added a pair of four-star cornerbacks: Amare Nugent of American Heritage in Plantation, and Aamaury Fountain of Warner Robins, Georgia.
