The No. 7 Rebels (9-1, 5-1 SEC) host Florida (3-6, 2-4) on Nov. 15 (6 p.m., ESPN) at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
The game has College Football Playoff ramifications for the Rebels, who are No. 7 in the CFP rankings. It also has implications for the future. Florida has emerged as a school pursuing Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin for its job opening.
A deep CFP run would help Ole Miss drag out the season and put any team trying to hire Kiffin away in a difficult position.

Why Florida has an advantage: Quarterback DJ Lagway has immense ability. If he’s on, it’s enough to make any team nervous. Ask Kiffin.
Lagway is a former five-star recruit who is a dual-threat runner. He beat an Ole Miss team stocked with NFL talent in 2024. It has been a rough season for him. He was benched in the latter stages of the game against Kentucky. All it takes is putting together a complete, 60-minute performance and he can have the Gators competing with anyone.
