Florida downgrades two players in Week 10 follow-up SEC Availability Reports

Florida downgraded running back Duke Clark and walk-on defensive back Javion Toombs from questionable to out in the days following the Gators’ initial SEC Availability Report.
The Gators will now be without 10 players on Saturday against the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs, including standout freshman wide receiver Vernell Brown III. Wide receiver Jackson Wade is questionable — the only new addition to the list.
Clark’s downgrade is the most significant of the three. With Ja’Kobi Jackson also hurt, the freshman back has stepped into the backup role behind Jadan Baugh. Redshirt freshman KD Daniels will fill that hole. Daniels has 43 yards and a touchdown on seven carries over the past two games.
Toombs’ injury is less punishing, with several members of the secondary returning to the lineup. Safety Jordan Castell and cornerback Cormani McClain both missed Florida’s matchup with Mississippi State. Nickelback Sharif Denson and cornerback Devin Moore also left that game, forcing several young defensive backs into action. All four members of the secondary are healthy heading into Saturday.
Georgia will be without tight end Ethan Barbour, defensive back Kyron Jones and receivers Talyn Taylor and Colbie Young — the same four listed on the initial report.

The SEC Availability Reporting Policy
“In accordance with the Student-Athlete Availability Reporting Policy, teams must submit initial reports on Wednesday by 7 p.m. CT / 8 p.m. ET for a Saturday game (or, for any non-Saturday game, three nights before the game by 7 p.m. CT / 8 p.m. ET) … and update the Availability Report once per day on Thursday and Friday (after the conclusion of practice and before 7 p.m. CT / 8 p.m. ET).”
Each player must receive one of four designations:
- Out (i.e., will not play/0% chance to play);
- Doubtful (i.e., unlikely to play/25% chance to play);
- Questionable (i.e., uncertain to play/50% chance to play); or
- Probable (i.e., probable to play/75% chance to play)
If a player is listed on any previous availability report for the upcoming game, teams must change the designation to available. The questionable designation is not allowed in the Game Day Update.
