The Alabama Crimson Tide are playing their final SEC home game of the 2025 college football season in Week 12 Saturday, and it’s quite a big one. The Oklahoma Sooners visit Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa for a top 10 showdown between two of the sport’s blue bloods.

Alabama (8-1 overall, 6-0 SEC) is ranked No. 4 in the US LBM Coaches Poll, as well as the College Football Playoff rankings. Coach Kalen DeBoer’s team has won eight in a row after a 20-9 victory over the LSU Tigers in Week 11.

Ty Simpson completed 21 of his 35 passes for 277 yards and a touchdown. Simpson’s 14-yard touchdown pass to Ryan Williams in the closing seconds of the first half gave Alabama a 17-3 halftime lead it would not relinquish.

Oklahoma (7-2, 3-2) is ranked No. 10 in the Coaches Poll and No. 11 in the CFP rankings. The Sooners are coming off a bye after an impressive 33-27 win over the Tennessee Volunteers at Neyland Stadium on Nov. 1. John Mateer threw for 159 yards and ran for another 80, including a one-yard rushing touchdown with 1:44 to play in the win.

Who has the edge? USA TODAY Sports’ prediction for Alabama vs Oklahoma football

On Thursday, USA TODAY Sports’ team of college football experts unveiled their weekly picks and predictions for every top 25 team in Week 12, including No. 4 Alabama vs. No. 10 Oklahoma.

“As usual the SEC has a big piece of the spotlight, with a pair of top-10 showdowns on the docket. It will in fact be the two teams tied for 10th in the poll hitting the road, as Oklahoma takes on No. 4 Alabama and Texas meets No. 5 Georgia in a rematch of last season’s conference title game.” –Eddie Timanus, USA TODAY Sports.

The six-man panel of Timanus, Paul Myerberg, Matt Hayes, Blake Toppmeyer, Erick Smith and Jordan Mendoza all see the Crimson Tide beating the Sooners Saturday in Tuscaloosa.
