Florida State wants to add another linebacker to go with blue-chip commit Gregory Batson in the 2027 recruiting class. Their latest target is from the Peach State, three-star recruit CJ Ohuabunwa out of Norcross, Georgia, who announced FSU had offered him a scholarship.
"Blessed to receive an offer from Florida State University," Ohuabunwa said on social media.
Ohuabunwa is the nation's No. 1,119 overall player and the No. 110 linebacker per Rivals' industry rankings. He's the No. 126 prospect in the state of Georgia as well.
With FSU in the mix, Ohuabunwa has around 30 offers to choose from. The Indiana Hoosiers, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Duke Blue Devils, Kansas Jayhawks, Louisville Cardinals, Virginia Tech Hokies, Wake Forest Demon Deacons, and more have also offered the 6-foot-2, 210-pounder.
Ohuabunwa was an extremely productive player for the Greater Atlanta Christian School last season. He racked up 117 tackles, three tackles for loss, two sacks, one interception, and two pass breakups.
The Seminoles have hosted Ohuabunwa once back in January during one of their Junior Day weekends. Another visit should come about soon now that an offer is on the table.
