The Florida State Seminoles need a quarterback in their 2027 recruiting class, and three-star Logan Flaherty is their top target. On Friday, they got a crystal ball prediction to land the 6-foot-3, 185-pounder.
The same thing happened on Saturday night as well. On3’s vice president of recruiting, Steve Wiltfong, logged a prediction for the Seminoles to land Flaherty. He committed to the UCF Knights last October, but he decommitted in April, which puts FSU firmly back in the mix, competeting against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
For almost a year and a half, Flaherty has been a prospect of interest for Florida State. He’s been to Tallahassee on numerous occasions, and he was recently visited by Seminoles’ quarterbacks coach Austin Tucker. Also, head coach Mike Norvell had a phone conversation with Flaherty the other week.
Per Rivals’ industry rankings, Flaherty is the nation’s No. 599 overall player and the No. 39 quarterback. He’s also the No. 60 prospect in the state of Florida.
Flaherty had a productive junior season at Port Charlotte, completeting 60.8% of his passes for 2,636 yards, 27 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. He also ran for 595 yards and 11 touchdowns on 140 carries.
FSU’s rankings in the 2027 recruiting cycle have taken a hit lately, but a commitment from Flaherty would certainly help turn things around.
