Auburn football is looking to continue its recent recruiting momentum by landing a talented in-state defensive lineman.
Chad Simmons of Rivals is predicting that Karlos May, a 2027 four-star defensive lineman from Ramsay High School in Birmingham, will choose the Tigers after spending a successful weekend on the Plains during Big Cat Weekend.
May is one of the top defensive line prospects for the 2027 class. According to the 247Sports composite, he is rated as the No. 8 player in Alabama and the No. 22 defensive line nationally. In 10 games for the Rams in 2025, he had 43 total tackles and eight tackles for loss. He also had four sacks and two interceptions during the season. He is being recruited by Vontrell King-Williams, and according to Simmons, the two have built a solid connection.
Auburn currently has the No. 26 recruiting class for 2027, according to 247Sports' latest rankings. They have picked up commitments from 8 players, with three four-stars: Myson Johnson-Cook, Layton von Brandt, and Donivan Moore. With a pledge from May, the Tigers will jump up in the recruiting rankings.
