The 2025 college football season is far from what Deion Sanders and Colorado football envisioned.

Following a loss to West Virginia last weekend, the Buffaloes (3-7, 1-6 Big 12) will not be bowl eligible for the second time in three seasons under Sanders. Colorado could not build on a 9-4 record in 2024 following the departures of Shedeuer Sanders and Travis Hunter to the NFL draft.

However, the Buffaloes will have a chance to catch their breath in Week 12 and find a way to finish out the season on a strong note. Colorado can point to freshman quarterback Julian Lewis as a bright side for the rest of the season. Lewis threw for 299 yards in his first start last week.

Colorado returns to action in Week 13 with a home conference game against Arizona State. Here’s what you need to know about the Buffaloes’ remaining schedule:

Does Colorado football play today?

No, Colorado is on the second of its two bye weeks of the 2025 college football season. The Buffaloes’ first bye week came during the week of Saturday, Oct. 18, during Week 8.

Colorado will return to action on Nov. 22 at home against Arizona State in Week 13. Following the matchup against the Sun Devils, the Buffaloes close out the regular season against Kansas State on the road on Nov. 29.
